Once upon a time, on the eastern bank of The White River, when the fertile lands witnessed the most tremendous flames that ever occurred. A divine spirit blandly appeared in the foggy waters. All cloaked up with black garments, ink-fish rings on every single finger, and an ophidian mark on the countenance. The uncanny figure lifted out of the water and quenched the inferno while slowly walking toward the scorching lands. "Personal Sauveur", as they called him, started to reveal the essence of the creative life force to the first Kalamari tribe and disappeared by leaps and bounds.

At the dawn of a makeshift civilization, the "Personal Sauveur" icon started to be venerated all around the Kalamari empire. Folks decided to ignore sun-worshipping beliefs and all oppressive symbols related to them. Instead, the believers embraced the most alternative way of living: harvesting forest fruits in the dark starry nights, metamorphosing their lucid dreams into ritual chants, adoring plurals of earthly spirits, paying respect to the sacred waters, and transfiguring every sickness into a dense body knowledge. The Kalamari mankind sustained itself very peacefully for centuries until the fiendish despots got back and decimated the whole population. It was the end of an era, they said...

In 2020, a fortuitous discovery was made when a suitcase full of mummified ink-fish rings was found in the swampy soils of a Brussels suburb. The antique treasure took no time to bring fascination to the Pathfinder. After some time, he decided to find out more about the lost civilization and yearned to bring it back. Quickly, he felt the duty to pursue the "Personal Sauveur" quest. Everything had to start in the initial place of birth. After his first steps on the promised land, he found a place filled with tumbledown concrete social projects, cracked ethanol bottles laying down on the streets, GHB-infused strippers bargaining in bus stops, and notorious bench street poets.

In the core of the megalopolis, the trio met one day at Bazar Olimpia while looking for specific artillery, and, started to mingle about destroying the symbols of the oppression. Soon after, they started to bring all their weapons together and prepared a master plan to write history one more time. The band finds inspiration in post-communist and early capitalist field recordings, French-Polish slang slug rhymes, proto-paleo synth wave, and eastern riddims resulting in a danceable and mesmerizing trip through the shanty town.

'Hydra Psalm' opens the debut with a preach to the tribe believers infused with a galactic psych-rock hint. `Bania Maryja` refers to the symbol of oppression, The Virgin Maria, obtruded during the Christian era. It's a blend of Brussels-slang experimental rap with an abysmal scream groove. The terrestrial beat "Praga Medina" brings you on a light-hearted cruise around the district with all its discernable delicacies. `The Kalamari People` brings you in a linguistic re-interpretation of the lost tribe dialect through modern calypso-xylo and infectious thumpadumpa rhythms. And last but not least, `Kikimora`, a mechanical dark-o-punk tribute to the unpredictable witch of the night.
