A much needed repress here of KiRiK's 2016 release on Ivanov's label Crocus, which features two 'edits' of some pop tracks; a trend which started to emerge at the time with many similar ones appearing on Romar's ODE imprint and later on EEE, Digwah et al. The Ukrainian producer certainly created some the very best of them on Crocus 03; the A side samples a golden oldie by a much loved British outfit that sonically embodies hypnotic sunrise bliss. Over on the flip it takes a moodier turn, much like the sound of original that it's based on, slowly building up before that epic drop. While Crocus may be a defunct label for now, good on them for repressing this one.
