Emotions Electric complete their hat-trick of Ismistik reissues with this seance EP, 'Oasis', which first came in 1991 on iconic Dutch label Djax-Up-Beats. It finds Bjorn Torske in more house-leaning mode than he was on some of his other releases, but the quality levels remain high. "Oasis" is a nice deep cut with heartwarming piano chords and loose, raw drum work. "Flow Charts" gets more wired and wiry, with sheet metal snares and warped synths mangling your mind. Last of all, "Object Code" bangs the box with its futuristic, sci-fi melodies and far-sighted pads, all conjuring up the classic sounds of Detroit.
