Mroczne muzyczne baśnie gdańszczanina, które przywodzą na myśl „Silent Hill”, ale i sny o wiekach ciemnych. Głębokie, przejmujące, momentami choralne i z dronami, które ciągną w dół...

Michał Jacaszek's music has always been filmic to varying degrees, but it's only in the last decade that filmmakers have commissioned him to write, record and produce music for their big and small screen projects. His latest album, "Music For Films", riffs on this; while some of it was indeed created with specific cinematic projects in mind, some of it wasn't. Listening through from start to finish, where it comes on like a genuine soundtrack to a melancholic, noir-ish film, it's hard to spot the difference. Combining neo-classical string sounds with field recordings, electro-acoustic textures, ambient style chords and melodies, and nods to music concrete, it's an evocative musical journey that stirs the senses and toys with your emotions. In a word: stunning.
