The latest joint on Mexican label Calypso brings together a whole host of talented operators tweaking out the traditional structures of house. Thomass Jackson is first up with the loose and freaky robo-disco roll of "Urzsula", a delightfully wild trip through clanging metal pings and wobbles strapped to a solid groove. Simple Symmetry and Inigo Vontier sound more direct with the stomping "Prayer To The Spiritual", although there's also a mystical charge in the track aimed at sending the dancefloor skywards. Facets gets low down and dirty with "Distant Chants" and Marvin & Guy cut up some serious funk for "There's No Matter", completing a set full of curveball club tracks to make heads turn.
