It would be fair to say that Mood Hut's latest release is something of an all-star affair. Produced and 'dubbed' by House of Doors, with Pender Street Steppers on synths/Rhodes, and Max D providing a typically swinging drum track, "Always On" is a typically warm, rich, evocative and floor-friendly affair. In typical Mood Hut fashion, the "Club Mix" is simultaneously stoned and deliciously floor-friendly - think jazz-funk-meets-broken beat-via-deep house, and you're close - with Evelyn's sweet vocal dreamily floating in and out of the mix. Max D's brilliant drums come to the fore on the killer "Bonus Beats" version, while the "Original Mix" is a deeper and altogether more horizontal affair. Starry deep house closer "Four" is pretty tasty, too. Shouts to 4Claudio for his 'Legal' input!
