T.K Records' in house session band Miami established themselves in the eye of the 1970s funk hurricane. One of their earliest releases "Hey Y'all We're Miami" acted as the consummate calling card for their Booker T-meets-The Meters style funkmanship with its bold licks and tight vocal work. "Chicken Yellow" jumps with a looser, jam feel with limited vocals and a real energy on the builds. This reissue has been long overdue.
