Some three years on from its' initial release, Rekids has decided to reissue Nina Kraviz's self-titled debut set. Predictably, it's aged rather well, and retains the power to surprise and enthrall despite the ubiquity of its' fuzzy floorfillers, haunting songs (Hard Ton collaboration "Walking In The Night"), spooky downbeat grooves ("The Needle"), and off-kilter deep house compositions ("Aus (featuring King Aus on The Mic)"). This vinyl repress also comes bundled with a bonus 7" containing two new remixes of the juke-influenced dancefloor smasher "Ghetto Kraviz" by original ghetto-house/Dance Mania artist DJ Slugo. These are particularly enjoyable, and lace Kraviz's distinctive vocal atop all new floorfilling, ghetto-centric rhythms.
