Rezzett may not be the most high profile name amongst the swelling discography of The Trilogy Tapes, but last year's self-titled 12? for Will Bankhead's label was arguably one of the imprint's highlights to date. The three tracks were a skewed combination of scratchy rhythms and frazzled melodies that took the description "lo-fi" to new places. It's up against some stiff competition but Zootie might be the finest looking TTT so far with numerous hand screen printed stamps adorning both the outer and inner sleeves. It's matched musically too as both "Zootie" and the accompanying "Yavas mix" applies Rezzett's blasted sonics and applies them to some wondrous ambient chords with the former throwing in some speaker blowing hardcore rhythms too.
