This guy deserves no introduction and to be honest, we probably wouldn't be here right now discussing house and techno if it wasn't for him and a few other Chicago visionaries. Unfortunately, Armando Gallop passed away too young in the 1990s and we can only appreciate a relatively finite amount of records from the man. This being said, all of his cuts are still sounding so damn fresh that it just doesn't feel real that most of them were produced in the late 1980's. "Overload", for example, is the kind of cut you can just leave on for hours and hours with its ringing hook circling your mind for eternity. On this Housetime reissue, you get three versions of the tune plus another three classic Gallop licks in the form of "Maximum Overdrive", "Dance With Me" and "Bonus Traxx"...all of the essential, of course.
