Quirk has pulled another fine 12" out of the bag here from Trent Voyage and Elen Moroder. It takes cues form a wide rang of sources - piano house, deep house, tribal house, tech and minimal and on the opener 'Aquamarine' adds in a sultry vocal to make for something seductive and dark. 'Luna Marte' is late night with its wispy pads and intimate vocals unfurling over an elastic beat and 'Celestial Causeways then picks up the energy levels with a more upright, trad-house groove that's embellished with some nice soulful pad work. 'Maybe It Was' is a darker tech pumper for the wee small hours. A varied EP that shows plenty of invention, then.
