After fourteen years of existence, five critically acclaimed albums and countless concerts in more than ten countries, Crocell's sixth release constitutes a milestone in the band's history. Through the years Crocell's distinctly Scandinavian brand of death metal has more in a darker and more blackened direction, and now this development takes a leap forward with the concept release 'Baptized in Bullets / Funeral Bliss', which the band describes as a "split release with themselves".
The release consists of two separate EP's with radically different approaches to possible directions in Crocell's pitch black future. The desire to explore new creative territory is underlined by the fact that 'Baptized in Bullets' and 'Funeral Bliss' feature two distinct pieces of cover art, recorded in different studios and mixed by two producers, namely Jacob Bredahl in Dead Rat Studio and Quentin Nicollet in Black Sun Audio. As a result the two EP's not only differ in respect to the music and lyrics, but also production-wise where they present themselves as two separate releases in one.
