Back in 2022, Colombian Ela Minus and New York's DJ Python stopped their superb collaborative EP, 'Heart', on the Smuggler's Way label. Now they have it remixed by the one and only Ricardo Villalobos, king of the curveball selection and endlessly long and evolving minimal techno workout. He deals in the sort of hi fidelity sonics that few others can touch and that is exactly the case here across two of his more standout recent works. In the originals, DJ Python's immersive instrumentals and Ela Minus vocals on liberation and intimacy make for deeply affecting listening and here the Chilean works them into a 40-minute epic and 13-minute tech house stepper.
