Indigo Jam Unit is a jazz dance fusion supergroup from Japan that has a seriously heavy sound. For the first in the UK, they now release an album that has been specially put together to showcase their sounds on the world stage. It's been assembled by Colin Curtis, who hosts the Worldwide FM show Jazz Dance Fusion and has long been introducing these sorts of sounds to us mortals in the West. Colin's jazz Ally Paul Murphy of Jazz Room Records was also involved in the project and all eight cuts are dense fusions of broken beat and jazz that challenge convention but are also accessible and hugely enjoyable.
