The enigmatic Manchester producer Synkro returns with two stately, emotional and bass-drenched cuts. 'Emerald' sparkles like its title suggests. A link-up with good pals LSN over the Welsh border, there's a big meaty swing to the groove and a whole host of tasty little details in the percussion and fills. Flip for 'Tomorrow', a much breezier piece with Marenn Suki. Flexing a halftime D&B style, the amount of space he's managed to find in the mix is nothing short of mesmerising. A superb release on both sides.
