This cult classic dub LP from 1983 was produced and arranged by Earl Morgan at Tubby's Recording Studio in Kingston, with backing band The Roots Radicals and vocalist Earl Cunningham in top form, especially considering it was his debut album. Despite this standout first record, Earl remained a rather overlooked artist in the Jamaican reggae scene. The dubs are dusty and deep, with subtle horns bringing a bit of light next to scattered organ chords and lumpy bass. Earl's vocals are often deep in the mix but delivered with real soul. If you're a fan of the likes of Junior Murvin then this one is for you.
