During the first pandemic lockdown in 2020, I finished my own version of La Mer, inspired by Debussy's three symphonic sketches. Back then, my musical dictionary was limited in means of expression to a few simple associations with experimental, ambient and concrete music. Two years after the release of the studio version and four released albums later, I returned to La Mer again, this time live.
Take a deep dive into an underwater world of the wild and imagined sea sounds. You are about to hear the sea from my earliest memory: loud, cold, dangerous, raw, even at times brutal and terrifying, and at the same time the most alluring.
