Toro Y Moi emerged at the heart of an exciting new genre known as chillwave a number of years ago now. His hazy, nostalgic sound was awash with pop, downtempo and synth influences all reimagined through rose-tinted memories of those endless summers we all remember living as children. Since then he has grown ever more complex and mature in his musical themes and tended towards a more indie based sound, but still with plenty of psyched-out effects and blissful vibes.
