Australian producer Daze returns to his own self-titled label with a bold one-sided 12". Entitled 'Summer Daze' it leans heavily on a dance classic of the 90s for its spine-tingling synths and trance-vocal. The drums down low are heftier and rolling, but the jittery percussion and mood of the original remain largely untouched. It will likely strike a chord with crowds of a certain age for its nostalgia value while the uninitiated surely will not be able to resist its charms. Fun stuff that's worth dropping at the right time.
