One of the true pioneers of the Italo-disco movement, Azoto released this incredibly ahead of its time album in 1977. Penned by Italian disco legend Celso Valli (Tantra ‘A Place Called Tarot’ etc), his Azoto act went on to pen other seminal hits such as ‘Anytime Or Place’ and the chart topper ‘San Salvador’. This LP showcases the groups humble beginnings and kicks off with the Prins Thomas and Todd Terje favourite ‘Havah Nagilah’, a traditional Greek folk song which has been given the disco once over. Other highlights include ‘Discomedley’, the incredibly hard to find ‘Zorba’s Dance’ (another Greek folk track given the disco touch) and the off kilter wonky funk of ‘Silverplate’. Needless to say this album is one of Italo disco’s holy grail LP’s.
