Dreadzone have been a constant presence on the West London scene, with their connections to The Clash (their seventh LP was recorded in Mick Jones' studio) and other luminaries such as Big Audio Dynamite and sometime contributor Don Letts, as well as the long running Dubwiser club night. Having chalked up eight studio albums, their latest is a collection of - as the title suggests - rare mixes, many of which have been created by the 'Zone themselves, obviously no strangers to the occasional dub themselves. Notable outsiders involved, however, include Suburban Base chief Dan Donovan, who reworks 'The Good, The Bad & The Dread featuring Alison Goldfrapp, and Howard Marks.
