Lee Norris has made tons of great records as Metamatics over the years, though few are quite as revered as his 1997 CD-only debut album, A Metamatics Production. Happily the Lapsus label has decided to deliver a first ever vinyl pressing of the album, allowing a whole new generation of wax fetishists to wallow in its' atmospheric blend of deep, intergalactic drum & bass, dub-fuelled electronica, glitchy IDM and sub-heavy, bleep-influenced UK techno. Highlights include, but are not limited to, glitchy post-electro number 'Dope For The Robot', the dreamy D&B of opener 'Swimmer', the angular, acid-flecked squelch of 'Piece It Together' and the bass-heavy dancefloor roller 'Skunk Me'.
