There's some terrific electro coming out of Dublin lately; last week's release by Splitradix and now this one from fellow citizen Paul Hammock aka Cignol, whose previous credits include releases for Orson, Nocta Numerica, Lunar Disko and Furthur Elecronix. The Future State EP is a continuation of Hammock's high standards in production and features the heady, majestic electro funk of the title track which rules the A side. Over on the flip, there's some emotional robotics to be experienced on 'Echus Chasma' packed full of vocoder and 303 acid, and closing it out with the deep and contemplative sci-fi beats of 'Seasonal Flow'. Awesome stuff!
