Over the last few years, we've become accustomed to Dynamite Cuts plucking gems from killer soul, funk and golden era hip-hop albums. They've thrown in a bit of a curveball here, ignoring those styles to instead mine one of the most sought-after European bossa-nova/vocal jazz albums of all time, Kitty Winter Gipsy Nova's 1978 debut, Feel It. Interestingly, the A-side title track is not a Latin jazz dancefloor burner, but instead a warming, rubbery and sunny slice of jazz-funk perception filled with tasty electric piano keys, loose-limbed drums and sublime female vocals. 'New Morning' on the other hand is a very special bossa-nova excursion, with more life-affirming lead vocals riding a killer groove and samba style acoustic guitars.
