Here's something that should excite all those who love disco, boogie and quality house: a brand-new single from living legend Melba Moore, produced and mixed by long-serving Chicago producer Terry Hunter. The latter sets the tone with a pleasingly sunny, up-beat and soulful 'Club Mix' that adds early '80s, Latin disco style horns, drowsy guitars, heady electric piano motifs and Moore's superb vocals to a loose-limbed Philly Soul style dancefloor groove that reminded us of classic MFSB productions. Over on the flip Hunter offers up a quick-fix radio edit and a rather wonderful club instrumental, in which his dazzling Rhodes solos and punchy horn arrangements rightly take centre stage. In a word: superb.
