Dave Lee continues to mark the 30th birthday of his Z Records imprint via a series of compilation style EPs featuring a mixture of overlooked remixes, new revisions and personal favourites. As you'd perhaps expect, the fifth 12" in the series is every bit as essential as its predecessors. The EP features two classic revisions of Lee's productions: a storming nu-disco revision of Joey Negro's 'Stomp Your Feet' by Crazy P's Chris Todd AKA Hot Toddy, and a hypnotic, muscular and heavily electronic late-night house re-fix of the Sunbrust Band's 'Journey to the Sun'. The other two tracks see Lee turn remixer, first for a euphoric, house-friendly revision of Loose Change disco classic 'Straight From The Heart', and then for a boogie-tastic version of Gwen Guthrie's 1983 cover of Gibson Brothers' classic 'What a Life'.
