The latest missive on fast-rising French label Houseum comes courtesy of self-proclaimed "power-house" maestro Vitess and follows hot on the heels of the producer's fine recent EP on Normandy Records. The Parisian hits the ground running on opener "Tiller", a fine, funk-fuelled fusion of rubbery bass, sweeping chords, smooth beats and bleeping lead lines, before cannily fusing acid house and tech-house tropes on "Continental". Title track "Missed Fly" is a deeper and more spacey-sounding affair powered forward by jaunty acid bass and a rock-solid kick-drum pattern, while "Warm" is a languid, ambient influenced slow jam that's wonderfully bright-eyed and melodious.
