First released in limited numbers on CD back in 1996, "Return of Black September" remains one of the late Bryn Jones AKA Muslimgauze's most celebrated and notorious releases. Here it finally gets a release on wax, with the original album being stretched across two slabs of wax with the addition of two archival recordings produced by Jones during the same period (they're both simply named 'Black September Sessions'). It's a superb set all told, with the sadly departed producer mixing and matching dark ambient tones, spaced-out field recordings, Middle Eastern percussion, mind-altering dub effects and more forthright IDM rhythms to typically inspired and off-kilter effect.
