The latest release on admirable Detroit institution Rocksteady Disco comes from Eddie Logix, a producer who has been around the fringes of the Motor City scene for some time. There's much to admire on his label debut, from the tasty Latin horns and tropical house grooves of opener "Que Locos", to the skewed drums, dub disco bass and Steely Dan style guitar solos of superb closing cut "Bottle Rocket". Sandwiched in between you'll find two similarly tasty slabs: the delay-laden Latin jazz-house headiness of "Sunday Palaver" and the more electronic sounding deep house goodness of "Baby Girl".
