Cult Berlin nightclub ://about blank was always going to do things right when it started its own label. They've proven with the first seven releases, and this eighth offering from resident Jessamine is another notable one that also marks the artist's first ever solo outing. Opener "Flutes" is entrancing thanks to the emotive lead that unfolds over shadowy, rugged, mid tempo house drums. "Derive" explores the outer edges of the dance floor with a grubby bassline rumbling beneath slow motion synth acrobatics, coarse claps and flashes of static electricity. Map Ache's rework is uptempo and full of promise, and the masterful Kassem Mosse serves up one of his perfectly lo-fi, scruffy and dusty house grooves to close things out in style.
