Previously working with Stefan Betke aka Pole on the seminal scape imprint until its closure, Barbara Preisinger went on to launch the ever reliable Slices Of Life which never fails to impress - having released some tremendous EPs over these last few years by Baaz, The Mole and legend John Tejada. Having appeared on the label's last various artist EP, Berlin deep house hero Dana Ruh takes over this entire release, bringing her idiosyncratic sound all over these three killer tracks on the "Still Vause" EP. From the swing-fuelled and dub laden bliss of "My Friendly Fire" to the low slung after hours deepness of "Takes Time" or the intricate percussion of trippy party starter "To Convince" - Ruh serves up more expertly crafted and surefire grooves once again.
