The 40 Thieves turn up in Leng's back garden for a bit of late night skullduggery. Things kick off on side-A with 'Backward Love', a deep wobble of dub guitars, weird out FX, large 80s synth lines and lovely throbbing bass, all riding a driving electro-shuffle disco rhythm. More than enough to get people freaky we reckon. On side-B, 'Crystal Mountain Thunder' has a tension-building intro of ambient electronic atmospherics, which give way to another slug of late-night dub-disco wonkiness, with massive guitars and a hefty drumkit. As expected, a meaty joint of late night disco, for the murkier end of the dancefloor. We hear an album is on its way and if it matches the quality of this release then we're in for a real treat.
