Since parting company with Further Records in 2016, Nuel has drifted between labels. Here, he resurfaces on Berlin-based Midgar following acclaimed outings on Northern Electronics, Semantica, Konstruct and Kontra-Musik. The most impressive thing about the EP - aside from the Italian producer's usual high quality production - is undoubtedly the variety on offer. Over the course of four fine tracks, he successfully turns his hand to skewed electro/broken techno fusion (the skittish, ear-pleasing wonkiness of "Sillhouette"), metronomic, acid-flecked deep techno ("The Motivator Song"), druggy deep space techno ("Pause and Reflect") and trippy, metallic, pitched-down hypnotism (the angular melodies and trippy electronics of "Slow To Speak").
