Since serving up his first single on Tempa back in 2014, Soundman Chronicles chief Dwayne Parris-Robinson has yet to put a foot wrong. His latest outing on Bristol institution Idle Hands - a follow-up to 2016 EP "Burr" - is impressive. Check first title track "Puro Rosaceae", where deliciously woozy, deep house style chords and melodies weave in and out of a sparse but heavy, sub-propelled rhythm track. The track gets the remix treatment from Kassem Mosse under his KMOS alias. The lauded German producer takes the track even deeper, doffing a cap towards dusty, straight-to-tape jams while drawing influence from intoxicating dub techno productions. Parris-Robinson takes a leaf out of Mosse's book on the deliciously dubbed-out, sweet and melodic bonus cut "Soft Touch".
