Jaakko Eino Kalevi is a Finnish musician that grew up in Jyvaskyla. He started to release music in 2007 and has gone on recently to play on David Byrne's recent American Utopia album, and in 2016 was invited to join the line-up of cult Belgian new-wave band Aksak Maboul for a run of shows. His first self-titled album on Domino sublabel Weird World back in 2015 was shortlisted for the sixth Nordic Music Prize. For his follow up here, the 34 year old Kalevi explores the concept of living in an age of constant connectivity, and how 'switching off' has become one of the great luxuries. He explores what he calls this 'essential, blissed out' state across this wonderful collection of songs.
