Hot Glaswegian imprint Dixon Avenue Basement Jams follows up great releases by local lad Big Miz, VernoN and the controversial Marquis Hawkes with this terrific effort by Hissman aka Fabio Monesi. The Italian DJ and producer is founder of Wilson Records and Hardmoon London. On the Revenge EP, Hissman serves up roughed up and dusted down techno jams on the lo-fi tip, as heard on the hypnotic night drive of "Forest Wave". There's also the noisy heads-down space journey of "Fragment" that bleeds through the other side of all the tape distortion and finally the relentless old school euphoria of "Zulu Tribe".
