Novel Sound head honcho Levon Vincent returns with two unique techno perspectives as always. The New Yorker released his new album 'For Paris' in late 2017, inspired by comments he made on social media that attracted widespread criticism after the 2015 attacks in Paris. Moreover, he states that the album (which was given away as a free download) would "try to aim for something meaningful in an apology, but also to try to make something which could benefit everyone around the world". And here on vinyl we have two cuts from the album, with A side track "Baseball" being the deeper and more introspective one - featuring his trademark skittering rhythm patterns throughout. On the flip, we have something much heavier in the form of "War" (Drum dub) a pounding yet atmospheric monster which indeeds sounds like being in the trenches in the middle of a battle. His analogue machines emulating the sounds of missile launches, explosions and gunfire ricochet.
