Rewind to 1983: UK act Sun Palace (a duo comprising Mike Collins and Keith O'Connell) released their only album Rude Movements. An early adventure in organic/electronic jamming fusion, it was a big drawer for the Levans and Mancusos when it dropped on Passion Records. To celebrate this historic record (which was reissued by BBE last year), Quadrant 77 invited Collins over to NYC to collaboration. "Sexx It Up" is the result. A slinky cosmic boogie piece with shimmering keys and Mike's signature rhythm guitars and strong-but-subtle kicks, it takes off where Rude Movements left us but with contemporary thrust and funk.
