Tabernacle turn their attention to a new talent for their next 12", introducing the sound of the mysterious Billy Ray De La Haye across a rock-solid four-tracker. There's a joyous mood that radiates out of EP opener "Orpheus" that's neatly offset with the rough hardware finish that typifies Tabernacle output. Either way the sound makes you want to delve in further, and playful Italo tones on "Truth's Protective Layers" reward the adventurous listener. "Heal Me Motherfucker" finds the psychedelic melodies swirling to the fore on a bed of delay and "Oceans Filled With Lines" sends things in a blissful acid-meets-new age direction, and very fine it is too.
