Slyngshot seems to specialize in creating tracks that neatly sidestep convention, blending dusty deep house sounds with hip-hop influenced breaks, and left-of-centre 4/4 rhythm tracks. He's at it again on the Love Unlimited E.P, which sees him return to his Yappin' imprint after an excursion on Place To Be earlier this year. He begins with the woozy, cyclical chords, fusty textures and crackly post hip-hop beats of "180554", before diving into Dolo Percussion style drum machine abuse on the deliciously energetic and rhythmic "Love Unlimited". Those after more straightforward house thrills should check flipside "Tryna Get My Act Together", where crusty cymbals and drowsy, looped melodies ride a bombastic groove.
