Predictably, Clone is keeping tight-lipped about the identity of the "talented" Rotterdam producer behind the Fell's Point alias. This debut from the "side project" features two tracks that bump along impressively, drawing on vintage UK garage, U.S house and New Jersey garage influences. Both are sweaty, bold and bass-heavy, with flipside "Jaywick" cleverly combining headline-grabbing piano riffs, classic vocal snippets and a sub-heavy bassline with shuffling, '90s style drumbeats. Lead cut Side Street has a similar feel, though the beats bang harder, and its' a woozy synth line and loved-up chords that grab the attention, rather than Italian style piano motifs.
