Isophlux boss Gosub aka Shad T. Scott from Miami has been releasing since the mid '90s, worked with everyone from Lustmord to Aerosmith and had releases recently on Abstract Forms, Citinite and Barba. He's one of those legends you've yet to discover and to those of you who do know him, well: we're preaching to the choir! Firstly he addresses the most important of all questions: "My Stars Or Yours" where with Mr X he explores the classic sci-fi electro sounds to convincing effect, you can really hear the warmth and analogue soul of vintage machines on this one. "Sunday At Battleship Key" sounds so old-school that you could have mistaken it for a lost tape by Model 500 or 808 State, from the delayed 808 claps right through to those DX7 strings and Caribbean style steel drum preset. Finally on the flip we've got a sweet deep house remix of said track by Ann Arbor's finest James T. Cotton, giving the track his Midas touch as always.
