Ron Morelli's L.I.E.S imprint continues its' seemingly unstoppable march towards and beyond a century of releases. Its' latest missive comes in the shape of a debut full-length from Inhalants, a collaborative project put together by Matt Morandi (AKA Jahiliyya Fields) and Max Ravitz. Deep Florida is, somewhat typically, full of the kind of out-there, largely dancefloor-focused Machine Music that L.I.E.S does so well. It's fuzzy, distorted, creepy, occasionally intoxicating, and uniformly experimental in outlook. Of course, it's not all redlined techno rhythms and end-of-days attitude; in fact, one of the album's strongest points is its' mixture of blistering club fodder, curiously experimental wig-outs and bizarre-but-brilliant, modular electronica.
